Come and see what REACT is all about.
A Day trip to REACT base in Rangiwahia, with bus from Palmerston North leaving at 9:30am returning by 4:30pm.
Amongst other things, we will introduce you to how we grow our own resources: willow for lanterns and sculptures, veg for food, plus a short bushwalk in one of the neighbouring reserves.
We will be decorating our large Centrepieces for the upcoming Lantern Parade, and participants can help tissue the Tiger and Rooster.
Guests will also have a chance to strip the willow, our annual exercise in removing the bark to make our willow ready for future projects in the city. We hope this will be an enjoyable and educational day out in the countryside where visitors will gain further understanding of what we do, how and why we do it.
Seats on the bus must be booked. Seating limited to 50 people. Be in quick! Made possible thanks to Bus funding by PNCET.
Please phone REACT on 06 3282823 or Email – firstname.lastname@example.org to book your space.
No charge but please bring your own packed lunch. Tea & coffee will be provided.
Please wear comfortable and warm clothes.
