Do you like biking but feel unsafe cycling in Palmy? Do you feel discouraged by the lack of biking routes to schools, clear cycle lanes and space for cyclists at intersections?
Come to an informal meeting with like-minded people and, over drinks and kai, discuss how we can create a bright future for biking in Palmy.
We’ll hear what other cycling groups are doing around the country, talk about how to address the barriers to safe biking, and discuss how the different bike groups can work together with PNCC’s new People on Bikes Forum to achieve our vision of a safe, cycle-friendly city.
• Chair – Patrick Morgan, project manager and spokesperson for the national Cycle Action Network (CAN), from Wellington.
• Presentation – Massey Living Lab will present their report on barriers to biking in Palmy
• Participating organisations – Cycle Aware Manawatu, Bike Manawatu, Sports Manawatu, Team Ashurst Sport Cycling, Manawatu Mountain and Bike Club, Palmerston North Boys and Girls High Schools.
Please RSVP by Oct 7th 12pm to pncetprojectcoordinators@g
