Turitea Stream walk and electro-fishing demonstration
Date(s) - 22/10/2017
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join Green Corridors for a child-friendly guided walk along the Turitea Stream in the Ngahere Park area. Weather permitting the walk will include an electro-fishing demonstration, the best way to see some of our special native fish during the day.
The starting spot is the Picnic Spot on Turitea Road. There is some parking available on the road side at the top of the hill just before the Picnic Spot, otherwise on the roadside just past the entrance to the Picnic Spot. It will be too wet to park in the Picnic Spot itself.
You will need to be there at 1.45pm for a 2pm start.
You will be able to return to your cars along the same route as the guided walk or a pick up vehicle can be dropped at the small parking area on Ngahere Park Road.
